MONETARY PLUG-IN GUIDE
The plug-in we are using for the points system is a bit more complex than what some of you may be used to. This plug-in allows you to be given more points than the typical money hack and it may be a bit confusing. But never fear! That's where this wonderful guide comes in to save the day! Now onto the short list of what this plug-in let's you do;
Allows members to earn money from doing things on the forum.
- Earn from posting, making threads, and adding a poll.
- Money shows across the forum (mini profile, profile, members list etc).
- Deposit and withdraw from the bank.
- See last few transactions, staff edits, and more.
- Earn interest on your bank balance once a day when posting.
- Monthly wages with bonus for members who actively post.
- Earn a fixed amount when ranking up for members who actively post.
- Gift money to members.
- Members can donate money to each other.
INCENTIVES EXPLAINED
When you make a new post, using either the full reply or the quick reply, you will earn 300 points. If you create a new thread you will earn 300 points. If you add a new poll you will make 100 points. This money will go into your wallet. Your wallet is full of the points that you have available to spend right now. You have the option of putting the points into your own personal bank so that they collect interest. You will also earn 1.2% interest on whatever is in your bank account. once a day For example, if I have 10,000 points in my bank account today, I will earn an extra 120 points so my new account balance will be 10,120 points.
You can also earn a bonus once a month based upon your total post count. This is called activity wages. Depending on your total post count in a month, you will earn the points for 5% of the total. For example, if I have 100 points by the end of this month, then I will earn 1,500 points. This amount will go into your bank so if you want to spend it, you will have to withdraw it from your bank. This is different than the daily interest on your bank account balance!
Every time you reach a specific number of posts, you will also earn a fixed set of points. There is kind of a big incentive to earn a lot of in character posts as the points are not awarded in boards like the general board. If you reach 10 in character posts starting out, you automatically get 500 points. There are various 'check points' on the number of posts that extend from 10 to 2,000 posts with the range of points awarded from 500 to 4,000.
It is also somewhat self explanatory but members can also gift each other points as well as donate points to each other. The two actions are relatively the same but during holiday contests or games, the difference may become useful. Use your imagination with that one!
So it really is beneficial for you to post as much as possible in character however, this is by no means a suggestion to reduce the quality of your posts just to be able to post more often! If we feel that anyone is shortchanging the system or tremendously sacrificing the quality of their posts for quantity, we will reduce the numbers without hesitation.
