He was usually careful when it came to judging equines and their choices about life...though lately Minos didn't really know what to think about the ones that taught him all his affections and about life. There was a roll of confusion, things that made no sense, for instance things like why his father and mother had broken up and why his father claimed a Neutral land then decided to challenge for Gino's land. Gino was his aunt, Serenity's, mate. The dark king of Peniol Nocturno in Wild Equines. There was a whole mess of things since Serenity was somehow banned and so was his grandfather, Baron. With Baron being banned Colette, his mother, had no home. It was obvious that Colette would follow Baron and Minos would always follow Colette. There was no chance in hell that the boy would ever leave his mother alone, even though she was a very charismatic individual and was more than perfectly fine in taking care of herself.
Minos loved his family. He was raised to care and love his family, even know that he was older he still carried his family dear in his heart.
His best friend was his twin sister, Morticia. Though she too turned out to show a side that he was not familiar with. Minos would die for his sister, though the last time they had a conversation he wasn’t sure he knew who she was anymore.
It was the saddest realization for the young stallion, though life moved on and he couldn’t change what was already done. In his life time he had froliced with plenty of females, though none really caught his attention. He had met a silver dun female a couple of months ago….though the heart couldn’t be tamed. It wasn’t love that he was really looking for with her...though he couldn’t be sure to explain what he really wanted from her. Truth of the matter was, he hadn’t seen her even since he lived in Wild Equines. It was obvious as fuck that he wasn’t going to be seeing her here in these new lands. There was a sigh suppressed from his lungs as he looked out to these strange new lands...it was crazy how things changed.

It was all wrong...wrong, wrong WRONG! So very wrong. Smoke Thief had grown up and Keysi had been happy to let him wander off to start his own life, she'd never really wanted to be a mother when she was either. But now, now she was a little bit older and there was a part of her, a part that she had never expected she would ever have. She was missing someone, she had missed him since she had met him and then he had vanished when Baron and Serenity and Colette had left Wild Equines.
He was an ebonite beast, handsome and such a gentleman too. Keysi had never been one to settle for a single hunter, but somehow, somehow, Minos had managed to break down her barriers, managed to halfways turn her into a single hunter girl, but she still enjoyed her one night jaunts with random equines, both the hunter and the huntress. She found out about Minos' disappearance from an unlikely source, her own colt had heard it from his uncle's new mistress Maleficent. That was why, the moment that Smoke had told her she had charged out of Wild Equines, she wouldn't admit it yet, but Keysi needed Minos.
She had not really rested long on her way over here, wherever here was but her emerald pools were still bright and once again, Keysi had to praise her Kiger Mustang lines and the stamina it afforded the fifteen point two hand Kiger Mustang, Lusitano cross, silver grullo mare. It had taken her a grand total of fourteen days to get here and the sight that greeted her emerald pools was beautiful. The long once green prairie grasses were bowed over and had faded out to a pale golden hue. The trees that dappled her coat in their shadows were cloaked in gorgeous fiery reds, sunny oranges, sunny yellows and some were still green while others were brown and detaching from the trees.
Keysi paused and peered around herself. The trail she had been following, had suddenly vanished before her eyes and she had to reorient herself for a moment, but when she took a deep breath of a breeze that passed her, her emerald pools brightened and she started toward the scent that had twisted past her a somewhat familiar one. As she rounded a bend, the ebonite hunter filled her orbs and a gentle smile claimed her labrums as she nickered toward him as she approached.
Halting a few yards from him she tossed her skull upward and then parted her velvets to greet him. "How come you never told me you'd left? I heard it from my son. I missed you Minos. And how come I never seen you since those couple of days we spent together?" She closed her mouth then and lowered her skull with a soft sigh, "I missed you Minos, I missed you the moment I met you." She murmured softly and then she had to close her pools to fight back the threatening tears at seeing him there before her, seemingly alive, but she also fought the urge to reach out and touch him just to be certain he was real. |

He took the time and silence to allow his mind to wander about the many things and opportunities in his life that had came and were yet to come. There were plenty of things that he had the ability to look after and care about though it wasn't anything he really wanted. He was growing up and it was time to find a mare to settle with. The thought of going through the books and figuring out what he really wanted was truely a dawning thought. How difficult was that? He didn't want to sit down and figure out a person...that shit was just to much work. It was then when he was caught off guard and heard a familar voice talking, talking to him. A single aud swiveled behind him as his crown turned to look upon the mare that had left him questioning the feelings of warmth. "How come you never told me you'd left? I heard it from my son. I missed you Minos. And how come I never seen you since those couple of days we spent together? I missed you Minos, I missed you the moment I met you, she said and he let the words register in his thinker. Son?
He lifted his handsome crown as he looked over her, time had only made her more beautiful. The brute didn't know what to think, she had been the one that told him she wasn't ready for anything he had to offer. Minos had been a gentlemen and hadn't slept with her, despite the actions and foreplay that heated up the scene days into them knowing each other. It was obvious that another took his place of banging her since she obviously had a son from it.
"Hello, Keysi", he started off with his cold tones. "I never told you I left because I never thought it would matter to you", he responded simply. It wasn't like he wanted to be a father, though the thought of another stallion getting to her bothered him, "Your son told you about my absence? I am curious to know why? he further interrogated with a narrowed gaze. There was no breaking Minos at this point...he was slightly pissed off and even though he had been waiting to see her these weren't the feelings he was looking for when he did find her.

He looked to her then, just as she opened up her eyes she saw it, and she saw the anger flash across his facade when she'd mentioned Smoke, then her harks switched forth as he spoke, Hello, Keysi, I never told you I left because I never thought it would matter to you, Your son told you about my absence? I am curious to know why? Keysi narrowed her own emerald orbs on the ebony brute as she stalked toward him. Her own anger growing. She tossed her dial and snorted pinning her harks into her mane in hurt and anger as she parted her labrums to answer him.
Her voice was dangerously low, the hurt plain in the undertones as her emerald pools flared, "Didn't think it would matter? Didn't...Minos, you're the first and ONLY stag I ever loved, didn't think it would matter? Minos I almost murdered myself when I found out you were gone, I nearly threw myself from the Cliffs back home. Minos, it did matter, to me. Smoke Thief was the result of my heart missing you. His sire managed to haul me back from the edge of the cliffs, I spent the night with him, months later I had Smoke, I only ever saw his sire that night and now, he's grown...his sire was a LIGHT! A LIGHT Minos. I needed you in the moment that I spent with Moarta de Argint, I only thought about you the whole time I was with him..."
Her lyrics trailed off and she pinned the ebony hunter in her gaze as she stepped into his space and parted her velvets again, her voice still deadly low, "Smoke told me because he KNEW I LOVED you, he may not have come with me here, but he KNEW the moment he was old enough to understand, he knew there was only ONE hunter for me and he found out from a member of a Dark herd by the name of Maleficent, she told Smoke's sire that some big names were gone, and Smoke stumbled across the discussion and IMMEDIATELY came and told me. Didn't think it would matter, Minos, when you left, my world, my heart and my SOUL shattered."
Keysi sighed then and started to turn away once more, "I guess I was wrong about your feelings for me, but mine for you were never wrong. Perhaps I wasted a fourteen day long trip to come find you again, to rekindle what we once had. I guess that was wrong." Keysi murmured and then she was walking away from the hunter, away from the life and the love she had hoped to rekindle. Tears stung her emerald pools and started to track down her pretty silver grullo facade. How could things have gone so wrong in so little time. She shook her skull back and forth to dislodge the tears and slowly moved away from her everything, her whole being shattered anew when it had just been mended anew.

" He listened and he let her step into his space, only because he would never hurt a damn hair on her physically. The words whipped him like leather but he stood and took them like the man he always poised himself to be. The inky black stallion lifted his proud dial at her anger turning his blazing gaze away from her, he too was angry and he no longer wanted to be here. "And what do you want me to say to that?" he hissed under his breath in lower tones then her as he slowly turned his crown to look at her. "You want me to stand here and clap for you, or what exactly are you looking for? he snarled loudly at her his own harks pinned against his crown. "You in love, with me?" he repeated in almost shock as he shook his crown with a chuckle. "You never cared about anythingI had to offer you, Keysi. If you wanted me to chase you like a love struck dog, sorry. I'm nobody's bitch. Much less for a women who went far enough to fuck a Light because I respected her enough to not touch her", he snarled at her. The ebon stags fury blazed as he watched her once more turn her back away from him and he burned with bleeding hurt at her words- " I guess I was wrong about your feelings for me, but mine for you were never wrong. Perhaps I wasted a fourteen day long trip to come find you again, to rekindle what we once had. I guess that was wrong", he swallowed the lump of hurt that formed in his throat and he collected himself- he always collected himself. "'Perhaps' isn't the right word choice- you did waste your time coming here, because you and me never had a damn thing, he told her coldly as he watched her walk away. His emeralds looked away at her walking form. This was the reason why Dark stallions earned the reputation they had...they met women who are broken, who need to be fix. They aren't trained to fix them but instead trained to break them more....

She was half surprised that he let her step into his space and nearly get into his face at that. She thought about that as she stepped away and then her towers tilted back as Minos spoke, And what do you want me to say to that? You want me to stand here and clap for you, or what exactly are you looking for? You in love, with me? You never cared about anything I had to offer you, Keysi. If you wanted me to chase you like a love struck dog, sorry. I'm nobody's bitch. At that Keysi spun fast on her haunches and launched herself at the ebony brute, harks flat against her skull and ivories bared as she landed before him and moved right up before him, her emerald pools alight with a violet fire as she glared at Minos, "I don't want you to say a thing to that, and HELL no! I don't WANT you to stand there and clap for me, I'm ASHAMED of that night Minos. Don't get me wrong I love the result of it, but I am ASHAMED! And yes Minos I am in love with you and I DID care about EVERYTHING you had to offer but I was SCARED Minos, scared of falling TRULY in love with someone." She paused then and stepped back, the hurt plain across her facade and in her pools.
She took a step back from him, and lowered her skull on her nape, her muzzle resting just above the terra as she spoke again, "I didn't want you to chase me like a lovesick dog, I never wanted that Minos, I didn't waste the trip, it just hurt what you said to me Minos. Far too much. But I watched other couples in the Unclaimed Hearts back home, I WANTED to learn how to stay with a single equine. Minos I want that to be you. I WANT you, and I WANT everything you have to offer me, I LOVED the fact that you were taking things slow with me and I was TRYING to build myself up to become someone who could stay with just ONE other." With that she lifted her skull and moved toward Minos' side again and reached out to brush her muzzle along his neck. "I'm ready to be TRULY loved Minos, I just want you to give us a chance, I just want us to start anew here. Believe me when I say I love you Minos, because I do and I'm ready." With that she lowered her muzzle and turned her skull away from Minos, blinking away tears.
